There goes my Japan holiday!
My current holiday plans have taken a further hit on the basis the Bank of England have announced that the recession will last most of next year and interest rates are likely to fall further so It's my assumption that the price of the pound against the yen will also be falling for next year year so I have 2 choices.
1) Defer my holiday to a later day.
2) Spend on my credit card.
The latter doesn't sound so sensible any more so I'm looking at a September/October/November holiday which is mildly depressing but necessary as I'd rather not rack up debts again. However, until Japan becomes affordable for me, I do have my eyes on a netbook at some point over the next 12 months until the exchange rate gets back to 180yen to the pound. Hopefully, by that time I'll have at least £2500 which is more than enough to get me there and last me a month travelling around.
I really should stop travelling around Japan and just stick to one area.
In other news, because I'm low on cash, I'm going to town less. Having said that, after recovering from the flu, I've been getting out and down to ASDA and back.
Currently thinking about who next I can write to with an offer to give a talk.
